The human trafficking issue continues to rock the Telangana Rashtra Samiti with its chief K Chandraskhekhar Rao taking on the suspended number 2 of the party, A Narendra, Lok Sabha member.KCR on Friday charged Narendra whom he suspended on Thursday following his alleged involvement in human trafficking case, with being a “criminal” and said he would be jailed in two days’ time.“He has betrayed the country. It is unpardonable,” he said in an interview to the media on Friday. On Thursday, hours after being suspended, Narendra who represents Medak in the Lok Sabha, alleged that KCR’s underhand dealings with human traffickers and other racketeers were “well-known.”

‘Deals’He called him a “drunkard” who sold Assembly and Parliament tickets and made “deals” with Opposition parties for crores of rupees. Narendra admitted to taking and keeping with him for several months passports of two party MPs. He, however, said he did not know they had visa stampings for three countries. In turn, KCR called Narendra a “liar” and explained that the party had decided to suspend him only after verifying with the police that he was involved “neck-deep” in the human trafficking case. “A senior police officer told me that it is a matter of days before Narendra is arrested. This left me with no option but to suspend him. How can I share the dais on such an important occasion with a man who has committed an unpardonable crime,” he asked. He was referring to the celebrations in Warangal of the TRS completing five years that took off on Friday. KCR said he would file a suit of defamation against Narendra for alleging that he had taken Rs 50 lakhs from a Delhi businessman for a Rajya Sabha seat. The CA-turned MP Mehrotra has denied the allegation as “absolutely false”. Mr Mehrotra whom Narendra referred to as Malhotra is a member of the Central Board of Trustes of the Employees Provident Fund Organisation which is under the Labour Ministry and as the Union Labour Minister, KCR was its chairman.Meanwhile, Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu has said that public representatives involved in human trafficking should be disqualified and debarred from public life permanently. “They should be prosecuted and punished immediately,” he said. Referring to reports that MLAs and MPs from across the political spectrum were involved, he said he would not hesitate to expel such persons if they were found in his party.“This is an extremely painful development. Is politics meant for such things? I feel ashamed,” he said here on Friday.
