Two days after a 15-year-old girl told the police that she had been raped by atleast four policemen, no arrests have been made.Though it's been 48 hours since the girl registered her complaint, the policemen, including Bhaskar Palve, assistant commissioner of police in Aurangabad, who were named by the minor girl, are said to be missing.''By running away they have defeated their own purpose. Their behaviour is suspicious and we are investigating,'' said Eknath Budhwant, ACP, Aurangabad.''We will take action and nobody will be spared,'' said P S Pasricha, DGP, Mumbai. On Tuesday, accusations of a minor's rape by policemen rocked Aurangabad. In her statement, the 15-year-old claimed that she had run away from home and reached Aurangabad. She was allegedly molested by four men in a bar. After an eyewiness complained, she was rescued by the police. But the girl said after her medical check that she had been raped by an Assistant Commissioner of Police and the three policemen who had rescued her earlier.''I have a copy of the girl's testimony. We won't allow the police to slacken on this case,'' said Mangal Khimsara, Activist. To save face, the police is now blaming the media for flashing out the names of the accused cops, giving them them time to run away.
